"While I was walking out of the movie house, I only had two things on my mind: Paul Newman, and a ride home..."
First, for what has happened during about who knows, a couple of weeks, months, even possibly years? I've been hanging out with a gang, called Greasers. No adults knew what Greasers and Socs were, but Socs were considered the rich kids, and the Greasers were considered the poor, greasy kids. Furthermore, onto my discussion, the Socs were considered Paul Newman's group, sometimes there were other leaders, but let's just keep it at Paul Newman. Battles and battles has been going on throughout many years over who was best, Greasers or Soc. I, a personal Greaser, finally learned that, there's no best on each side. Because each side has its own sunset. Before, I thought otherwise, once a couple of Socs decided to try to mug me while I was walking out of that movie house, I saw them as horrible, rich monsters. Then, as I experienced a death of my good ol' friend, Johnny. I realized that the battle between Socs and Greasers were no different than a cat and a dog fight. Many Socs has lost their friend, Bob. The main guy who has jumped Johnny, into scarring his face. Some people, (Socs) said he was a good guy and a good friend, but of course, I can't really seem to imagine that. Although, I did finally changed my perspectives of the Socs, no wait, not Socs. Just regular human beings. There was nothing any more different than being a Greaser. Was it the physical appearance that made us Greasers? The greasy hair? What made a Soc? A rich kid with a cool car? No, no, no. I've lost the sight of that. Too much pain, no power. Giving to what I have lost, my best-friend, Johnny, and my other friend Dally, it's hard to even think about getting into a fight again. Yes, Greasers and Socs have big rumbles on where we beat the crap out of each other until someone is knocked out, bleeding on the ground. Was this how each side handled their situations? I am a proud Greaser, but I am also, a human being who has finally learned that, being tuff doesn't make you happy. Being a Soc doesn't necessarily make you rich, and being human is a way of saying, you made it. Finally, this is what I finally learned about each side. Same sunsets, same sky, same moon, same life, and
just being human.
